Thanks to our wonderful supporters and prayer warriors this month. You are: Stoltzfus Family; see ya in Iowa soon, Lord willing! Judy Gray: thanks so much for the newer computer and the copier for the Home Office. I love them both! Sis, You have such a helpful and giving heart.. Ruby Wilson: see ya in 2009, Lord willing. Mom Jenkins: food, monthly support, prayers. Loretta Vavalis: thanks for ALL your support. Jackie Richardson: Hopefully see you in Talladega. You-all are gonna love Angie’s cooking. Ken & Rita Stanley: Thanks for believing in our ministry for so many years. Deb Wilson: it’s so sweet for a single girl like you to support us each month. I know you work hard for your money. Cindy Rodriquez: thanks for the love gift. You are new to our ministry and we love you! Granny & Granddad Gregg: I forgot to thank you all last letter. Sorry. You are so precious to us. Lee & Kathy Sturgeon for the Cracker Barrel treat. They use to travel & sing with us and Lee does some duplicating for us. We love you guys! Hendrix Family: You treated us to CiCi’s Pizza, and always have a bed and breakfast for us. Ryan is such a big help with the equipment. His strong muscles can load that stuff without blinking an eye. Ranessa is fun to talk “girl” stuff with, and Bobby always does “honey do’s” for us. Thanks family! Well, they promise Fall is on the way. I love Fall and Spring but Winter is best. Angie and I love the cooler weather. We just heard that the hurricane is not as bad as they thought. I felt compelled to crawl out of bed at 1:30 and pray for the hurricane. Praise the Lord He still answers prayer.
Another prayer God answered, I felt like praying for gas to drop a $1.00 per gallon, back when it was $4.00 per gallon. I sent out an email and started praying. We paid $3.32 per gallon last week, and I heard on the news it’s gonna come on down this week. So, I’m expecting $3.00 per gallon soon. Help me pray! RDH Promotions hosted a great concert with Karen Peck, Hendrix Trio and Jenkins Sisters. It was wonderful getting to sing with New River again. We use to sing with them every year on the cruise, and have missed that for 2 years now. We miss eating lobster and all the other gourmet foods on that cruise too. My sis, Judy felt sorry for me using an old computer, which was very slow, so she gave me a Dell that’s much faster. Thanks a bunch sis! Also, she gave me a copier. She loves me! The problem is, this new computer is well, NEW and I can’t find a thing on it. LOL. I’ve tried downloading the old software and I think I’ve insulted Dell, because he wouldn’t hook up to the internet all week. I called every tech helper in this country for help. Problem is, they all speak different languages instead of Texan, so I’m not real sure they are in this country after all. Most of our conversations involved “Huh?” “ What was that?” “What did you say?” “Can you speak slower?” “Can you repeat that?” Sometimes I got louder than necessary and had a sharper tone than I should have. Under the circumstances, I thought I held on pretty good. Held on to “hold“, that is. “Hold” on the phone is not pretty. I don’t like it one bit!!! I’ve got all but the mailing list back up and running. You all stand a good chance of never getting this newsletter! Or you may get someone else’s news. Or India may get everything, who knows at this point. I’m as addled and confused as on old maid has a right to be……… But I love my new copier/printer and Dell is the new love of my life. We are beginning to understand one another. I spend more time with him than I do any of my family! Thank you, Pre-Payers for CD#17. 1. JW Alexander Update: It was good to see Brent this week. He came over to bring a bag of food for his dogs and cats. That was a blessing. He’s still working at the Post Office, cleaning during the day and at night cleaning Playgrounds such as McDonalds. He still runs sound & sings Praise & Worship at his church, in Argyle, where he lives. Places we’ve been, Things we’ve eaten, Folks we visited with and misc. I mentioned we were honored to sing at Oaklawn Opry, where Hendrix Trio hosted Karen Peck and New River. Many sweet comments were made to us. I think God just showed up and everyone felt better after being there. One precious soul was added to the Kingdom that night. Our sis, Rhonda and husband Bobby, as RDH Promotions, know how to “pray” together a concert. We sang in Longview for pastor Tommy and Shirley Brasher. We’ve sang for them through several group changes and they seem to love us regardless of who is & who is not with us. Thanks for the wonderful prayer you all prayed for us after the singing. But the best part of all, was a soul who came and prayed while we were singing. There is no other feeling, knowing they are responding to the gospel in song. We were privileged to eat with Sadie Jenkins and her husband after we sang at Waskom, TX. They treated us to wonderful whole catfish (bones & all). We ate so much, we felt like a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter. LOL Sadie has sang and promoted Southern Gospel for many years, until her health has put a halt to her travels. She believes in our ministry so much, she wants to have a special service and “PASS THE MANTLE” on to us. Other Important Web Sites: Items to pray about: We are still praying about going to NQC this year. It will be our first time to miss in 21 years. We’ve had a booth for 13 of those years, so it’s been a huge part of our lives for a long time. But, it seems the doors are closing, so we want to remain sensitive to God’s perfect will. We’ve tried to not be sad about missing this year, knowing God knows best. Say a little prayer for us. Hopefully we’ll be back bigger and better than ever next year. We also need new tires before winter time. Good grip in bad weather, is a necessity. We need to finish CD # 17. Pray the timing will be just right in God’s time tables. Pray for me to find a good used pickup for a good price. Pray for the upcoming election and our military. Pray for God’s will for a bigger, newer vehicle. Pray for the newsletter to be a blessing. I spend around 2 weeks from start to finish on it, and put a lil bit of my heart in each issue. I welcome all suggestions and comments. We need about 5 people to help with our bookings. You must be reliable, friendly on the phone, a little bit organized, good at reading maps, have a computer, like people such as pastors and promoters, and like our ministry. Know anyone who wants to earn some money working from home? Contact us at 817-489-2466. You’ll make a percentage of the offerings. Happy Fall
