| Happy St. Paddy’s Day and Happy Spring! We are home from the FL, AL, GA, MS tour. Thanks for your prayers. We made it, old-small car and all. LOL. It’s paid for and gets great gas mileage, so we are thanking the Lord for it anyway! I had an unusually good birthday this year. Ranessa, my niece made me a Chocolate cake, Angie made me some Chocolate pies, and Tonya made me an Apple dipped in Carmel, chocolate, and nuts sprinkled on top. I got cards from non-family members and even some of you sent money or handed me money at church. WOW. Thank you so much! I’ll tell you what all I bought with my money. All my sisters decided I needed to re-do my bathroom. They ganged up on me! I’m the sister that doesn’t like change, but I was talked into this over haul. Several people got me items for my bathroom, such as medicine cabinet, new mirror, new wall decorations, new clock, new accessories, new towels, wash cloths, hand towels, and candles. Judy, along with many other things, brought a plaque that said: “One Shoe Can Change it All” – Cinderella. I love that! Vehicle update Our little mechanic we thought we found, turned out to be a dud. We spent $200.00 and the car is no better that we can tell. He couldn’t fix the low riding air shocks, as he hoped, but of course charged us any way. The last 2 coils were supposed to be replaced, but the car still died during traffic and seems to be cutting out just as bad. So, we think perhaps we just lost the $200.00 on car repairs. That kinda makes us sick, because we are so careful to prayerfully spend the money you all entrust to us each month for different needs. So, we’re back to square one. BUT, we are a month closer to God performing a miracle for us to get a bigger, more dependable vehicle So, I went to town and got more hand towels and misc. other items to match. Then in defiance, I spent most of my money on garden stuff…… I got peppers, tomatoes, garden soil, lettuce plants, fertilizer, ant killer, peat moss, humus, plant food and etc. Mom & I are planning a wonderful garden this year, and I can’t wait. But in the mean time, my bathroom is suffering through pure torture. Judy came armed with power tools, paint, kilz, tool box, and set to work. She twisted up her hair, and got down to business. Four days later, after the air was filled with hammering, paint odors, sawing, cutting, bending, installing, climbing up steps, standing on the vanity, and other weird sounds, the transformation was complete. I’ve had to clean up after working in the garden before I can go to the bathroom and clean up from working in the garden! I guess I’m all fixed up. Actually it’s gorgeous. I offered to be Judy’s manager and hire her out for HANDY-LADY. Many thanks to you all!
Thank you, Supporters! Bambers We left there and headed to MS, to the MCDonald’s Motel, where again, you can’t beat the price nor hospitality. Baby Sis, Tonya and family were up to their elbows in hand feeding puppies, after the momma dog got sick. Wed night we sang at Bro. Jeff Bell’s church and as always, enjoyed the choir singing. We stayed 3 nights at the Klondyke Music Center. They have an apartment just for singers to use, so once again, we took full advantage of free room and board. Sure helps with expenses! We sang there Friday night, and Bro. Woolum treated us to waffles. Earlier that day, Ron treated us to whole catfish, which I love. We filled the days with poke shopping, which we love. Angie collects gravy boats and I look for books to re-sell. We found some of both. We visited the Library everyday and worked on their computers, as we had no signal out in the country where we were staying. We bought some items for the Music center that was needed there. We ask Ron Jeffers, the owner, to dedicate our new CD “Remind Me Dear Lord”. He must have done a good job, because we’re getting good reports back on it already. Praise the Lord! Sun AM, we sang for Sis Sandy Holly at Trinity Holiness Church. This was a new place and they seemed to love us and invited us back. They treated us to Po Folks to eat. Sweet people! Sat. PM, we sang at Bro. Peacock’s and had an unusual service. A couple re-newed their vows, which we didn’t know about and tried to set up our equipment in 10 min to allow them time. Also that night a lady fainted and we prayed her back around. They fed us after church. Our next sing was at Grace United Methodist Church, one of our favorite places. The one and only FAMOUS Kyle Peddie, who sings with the Gann Brothers, goes to church there along with his lovely family. We always beg him to sing with us and he acts like he loves to do so. We sang “He Touched Me” and “Mercy Walked In” together. Such beautiful harmony. He is awesome! The Peddie Family paid for us to stay at the Holiday Inn Express and boxed us up 4 boxes of cooked food. We must have looked hungry! We shared the food with the desk clerk, then went to our room and wallowed in the luxury God had provided. We made it back to Tonya’s and camped out in their 5th wheel while we sang in the area. It was nice, not having to move our stuff every day, plus we get home cooked meals and great fellowship. They fed us Shannon’s special shrimp etouffe’ and other wonderful things. Then Thursday night, they had a big seafood blow out for my birthday. Heather, our oldest niece and her family came and brought oysters and crab claws. Angie bought me some blue crab and they boiled them up real spicy. Honey, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Wed. night we sang for Bro. Williams and Tonya and Katelyn came to hear us. This was the first time they heard us without Brent, and they were so sweet about our singing. That’s love! LOL. Katie Bug, my lil sidekick, is only 11, but her level of comprehension is so high. After church she along with several others helped me load up and I only had to tell her one time what to do and she did it and added a little flair along the way. To my knowledge she had never seen equipment torn down and loaded before. Tonya says she is raising my child. Tonya had been sick, and she so generously shared with me, and I had high fever all day Friday. The Lord touched me and helped me get through the next few singings. Then I had a set back and didn’t feel good until we got home. I was able to order some herbs and get better. In La Grange, GA, Bro. Leonard’s church they fed us and the pastor filled our tank up with gas, which is always a blessing. Fredonia is always a fun place to sing and those people know how to worship. Charles Story (just filled in with the Dove Brothers) came and blessed us with the song “The Call”. We cried like babies. He’s the one who donated the 2 nice expensive mics to us last year. Spanky, the DJ and friend who is our contact for that church, also helped us get our sound system last year and blessed us with mic stands and misc other items. So, the church is special to us. We stayed in the evangelist quarters for a couple of nights and the pastor and his wife invited us over for sandwiches after church. They traveled for years on the road and told us funny story after funny story, until our sides were fit to burst with laughter. I’ll never forget the “Outhouse Church” story. We headed to our brother, Ken’s house in MS that night for the same low price of bed and breakfast. We love having family all over the USA! I gave my special request for chicken tacos, and Ken indulged me. He learned to cook from Angie while he lived at her house before he got married and has a lot of the same flavors. I knew I would love that meal and sure enough I did. We loved getting to see the nieces and nephew Landen, even though he was sick. Prayer Requests 1. Bro. Jim Ray (blood clots) 2. Bonnie Nelson (cancer) 3. Juanita Arnold (husband has lung cancer) 4. Loretta (children’s salvation.) 5. Granny Gregg (shingles) 6. Judy (employment). 7. Ken (sell property) 8. John Benedict (more hours at work). We love you all.
