Howdy from the wind blown state of Texas. We are in love with our RV, can you tell? You all helped pray Holly in, and helped pray for her repairs, which were very badly needed. Being 13 years old, she has to have maintenance, so thanks for your sweet prayers and comments about how beautiful she is. The airbags work great, no more airing them up every hour. The front brakes have been fixed. (They were metal to metal and making weird noises). Brian fixed the back brakes and is letting us pay him out, bless his heart. Thank you Lord for sending us people who help all they can. We got some new tires, and the company is letting us pay them out as well. They were concerned about us traveling on bad tires, one of which had a cut in it. They knew who we were from our singing in the area, and knew we had 2 blow outs already. Lord bless them greatly. The underside is fixed where the last blow out did so much damage. The inverter is fixed, so we can use the electric plug working off the battery to charge cell phones or practice with the lap top without running the generator. So, Holly, the Holiday Rambler, is back in business and not sick any more, because we also got the “cutting out” on the engine fixed. A man told me this week end we could sell her for about twice what we paid. WOW.TIDBITS AND TALK My best friend, a teacher in NM, came and spent 2 nights over spring break. Life long friends are special! We stayed up till 3 or 4 at night, crying over some things, laughing over more. We went shopping till I dropped and stayed in her truck, while she and Angie shopped. They bought me presents, so I’m staying in the truck more often! I love Bath & Body stuff and I’m set for another year! Thanks good friend for your uplifting visit. I forgot the new laptop with all our new music on it at Melissa COG. We have been practicing some new songs with it, and I had taken it inside the house and we had company when we left, and my mind wasn’t in its “groove”. We had to “make do” with the old laptop and used the extra mic to run it through the system. It sounded terrible to me, as the sound tech, but God got to moving, and His Spirit took over the singing and people began to fill up the altars. We forgot all the bad things and rejoiced in the good things. If it means being humbled so He can be exalted, then I’ll take the humbling every time! We hope spring has come to your heart this year. There is HOPE! We hope & pray you all had a great Resurrection/Easter Day. SPECIAL POINTS OF INTEREST We are so excited about going back into the studio again. We have set a tentative date for May 2010. We plan to record in Texarkana, TX this time. They come highly recommended. I think we’ve got all our songs picked out and have been working on them. J REED PHOTO SHOOT FOR ALBUM COVER AND PROMOS TURNS OUT GREAT Thanks Rhonda Hendrix for arranging it all and thanks Jimmy Reed for being so creative and awesome. You make us look better than we really do! The 4 Sates GMA Spring convention this year was so good. We were privileged to sing with The Crusaders, Women of Hope, Humble Hnds, Hendrix Trio, David & Kathy (with son Bobby Hendrix helping), Hawkins Family, Psalms 100, and several soloist. See our web sites for all the pictures-www.jenkinssisters.com . Sunday AM, afterwards, we sang at Church of God of the Union Assembly in Texarkana. We drove there the night before and plugged up. That way we get a head jump on early rising! LOL.The wind blew so hard, I thought we were gonna turn over at times. But the “Wind” blew that morning in church and we had several come up for prayer. One lady joined the church that morning, and several testified of how our ministry had encouraged them. But the kicker was, a lady told us the last time we were there, we prayed for her and she has been healed ever since! WOW That afternoon we drove and sang at 2:00 at Johnny and Trish Farmer’s church in TX.Rhonda and Bobby Hendrix drove up for that and blessed everyone with singing some songs with us. We’re hoping to put at least Rhonda on our new CD and are trying to slip in Bobby’s help too! They are so anointed. Thanks to Johnny & Trish for running sound and we didn’t unload anything but the laptop. They fed us and then we flew out of there to drive a ways to Macedonia BC for a 5:30 service that night. We had such a great singing there with young people coming from all directions to help us unload and load back up. They fed us good, good, good and we found out later, one of the young men was so moved by our testimony and songs, he accepted the call into a music ministry as well. Oh how we love to be used of the Lord. ENCOURAGING STUFF Monday AM, we got an email from Novie McNight, and I want to share that with you all…… “Well, hope you ladies made it home safely. Our prayers were with you. Just wanted to take the time and tell you what a blessing I got out of the service last night. I needed that. I was so down yesterday and had prayed, “Lord help me to come out of this whatever it is that I am in”. I couldn’t explain it; I do get that way sometimes as everyone does. Anyway so many people were very blessed last night by you two and your music ministry. The barefoot part just added to it all. That’s what I love about our church and it’s people, is that we can be so laid back and enjoy being in the house of the Lord without being all dressed up and in uncomfortable shoes (HEE HEE). So when you ladies get down and want to hang it all up, just know that God is using you for a reason and that you are touching so many lives, so just hang in there. You will continue to be in our prayers. Love you my sisters in Christ. Novie McKnight. March 2010.”Aint’ that sweet? That brings us up to last week end, Easter Sunday. We sang our usual 2 services, which has turned into an annual thing. We love repeat business as our sis, Rhonda says. Graham PCG’s pastor, Bro Messer, was recovering from back surgery, so Bro. Curtis took care of things. He helped us unload and set up and several men helped load back up. The night before, Ruthie and 3 of her nieces met us at the church; to make sure we got plugged in ok and to welcome us. I thought that was so sweet! Bro Curtis and Sis Mary took us to eat, and took us by their house and he gave me okra/pepper seeds to plant. That okra grows over a foot long! I can’t wait to plant it and see what happens.Sunday PM Service was at Bro. Plaster’s church in Granbury, TX. They are so much fun over there and we enjoyed the fellowship in our RV afterwards. They helped us pray in the RV, so they wanted to see our big blessing. But the best part of this service, during our break, they sang at our request and the Lord showed up and my cup got fuller and fuller. Sis Shelena called us up for prayer and they prayed like the house was on fire for quite a long time, even praying for our CD’s to be a blessing. SPECIAL SUPPORTERS AND PRAYER WARRIORS Stoltzfus Family-we are praying for Jordan who is on a mission trip.
Lova ya,
Nella and Angie Jenkins
