| Click here for May Newsletter! Special points of interest: Easter Sunday we headed out to sing for Bro. Messer in Graham. We stopped to get a breakfast sandwich and our car wouldn’t start. We had to get jumped off. Wound up having a good service and they treated us to lunch & many testimonies of miracles. Sun PM found us at Bro. Plaster’s in Granbury. We love these folks and the choir came up and sang a song with us. The 11 year old drummer helped me load the equipment. First BC in Pottsboro is a special place to sing. They had 2 get Baptized that AM. Art and Sandra Mintz surprised us and treated us to lunch. House of Prayer in Newark is always good, and we love their band. Cornerstone A/G in Newark, TX had a group cancel and our trip to MS didn’t work out, so we sang for them. They said it was a God Intervention that we were there and we think so as well. We had a wonderful altar service. Mom came and they loved her singing and gave her a standing ovation. Mother’s Day we sang at 1st A/G in Jacksonville, TX. We are partial to the Eddy’s. We’ve known them for a long time. They always treat us so special with a goody basket in our big beautiful motel room and treat us to good meals while there. Angie got her favorite, Texas Road House. Yummy. Prayer Warriors and Faithful Supporters: Bamber’s
Back in the Studio this week! May 13th, we plan to go into a studio and record “The Ragged Old Flag”, It’s the story of how “Star Spangled Banner” by Frances Scott Key was written. It’s very touching and many of you have ask for the words or a copy on CD. Well, you’ll get your request in time for the July 4th celebration, hopefully. We thought it fitting that Kenneth Tatham should be a sponsor of our next recording and it turned out to be the Patriotic CD. Kenneth was injured in Vietnam and is blind in one eye. He’s been a faithful friend and supporter of our ministry for many years. Thanks to him and his lovely wife, Kathy for sponsoring this new CD. We plan to put several patriotic songs on there as well. If your local radio station would be interested in getting a copy of this CD, send us their name and address or at least their phone number and we’ll make sure they get a copy. To my knowledge this story has never been recorded on CD. So, needless to say, we are EXCITED. We love our Country and Flag. If you wish to be a sponsor as well, it’s $100.00 or more and your name/business name is listed on the “J-Card/Cover” of the CD. You also get a CD if you sponsor. If you just wish to pre-pay for a CD, so you’ll be among the first to get one, it’s $15.00. We’ll pay the shipping. Send your check/MO or CC information to: Jenkins Sisters
We hope to release it June 2009. Cruise is selling out FAST. Leaving February 1-6, 2010 from New Orleans The balcony cabins are sold out at the price listed on the brochure. Rhonda, our sister the travel agent, is negotiating for more balcony cabins. But you must hurry. We’ve already got several signed up and more say they are going to send their money ASAP. We’re hoping the Eddy’s, pastors of Jacksonville A/G go along with several family members. They are suppose to sign up this week. A lot of our family is going. Speaking of family, we had company this week. Tonya, sis #5, and family were here all week. Her husband preached at our home church Wed and they came to see Mom for Mother’s Day. Our oldest brother, Larry and Linda came to church, so it was good to see them. Rhonda, sis #4, and family came down and sang at Mesquite Opry and stayed a few nights. They bought a newer RV while they were here and encouraged us to keep believing our miracle is on it’s way. Judy, sis #2 came over and brought her grandson, Drew to see everyone. A few days before, we had niece Heather and family down from MS. Rhonda’s 2 kids stayed a few extra nights with us. We so enjoyed everyone. You all come see us too. We love company. Ludy, my bestest childhood friend came down and spent a night with us. Her son, Conagher was bike racing not far from our house. We had a blast catching up. It was cold that day, so we bundled up. I loved the outside racing and hot coffee. It was scary when a wreck happened right in front of me. See www.utube.com. I caught it on camcorder. Mom fell and got a black eye. She’s ok now. Cooking Brent’s rehearsal dinner for 50/Ryan Hendrix Graduates He came over and spent several hours at our house. I don’t know if he was missing us or what, but he helped me with my trailer wheels and worked on the security light. He did some stuff for Mom too. We’re always glad to see him and enjoy his visits. He usually asks about you all and where we’ve sang lately. He says to tell everyone hello. Congratulations to Ryan Hendrix who graduates this year. He’s the first to graduate in our family in several years. The others are all older and out of college. Proud of you, Ryan!
We love you all. Pray for us to see more souls born again.
