| Click here for June Newsletter! New Patriotic CD now Available! $10.00 pre-pay It’s been two years since we headed this far west. We’ve missed our friends and hope to see each one and make some new friends as well. We’ll be touring through NM, Arizona, Nevada, then California. On the way home, we’ll come back through Utah and Colorado. If you have any contacts in those states, please let Angie know. She’ll be working on that tour all this month. We’ll get to see two of our Faithful Monthly Supporters, Ruby Wilson and her daughter, Deb Wilson. These are sweet people and they attend a special church who prays for us daily. When we return, we’ll have only a few days to prepare and cook Brent’s rehearsal dinner. WOW. Speaking of busy, after I doubled the size of the garden which in turn doubled the amount of work, I’ve been super busy. It rained today and I couldn’t work outside, so I’m finally getting to the newsletter. We’ve planted taters and beets for the first time, which have produced some beautiful little round thingies. They don’t look much like store bought taters and beets, but Mom assures me that’s what they are. I’m looking forward to tasting to see if they are better than store bought. I know tomatoes and peppers are. We’ve got squash coming off too! Well we did finish the CD with 2 songs and the story of how the Star Spangled banner was written.” I call it “Our Flag was Still There”. It’s a very touching story of how Frances Scott Key, as a lawyer, went aboard a British Ship to arrange a prisoner exchange for American soldiers and British soldiers. While he was there, they bombarded and fired at the fort called “Fort McHenry” because the fort refused to take down the flag “Stars and Stripes” with 13 stars. They literally blew the fort apart. But when Mr. Key finally got back to shore, he could see the American flag still flying because a “cement of human bodies” held the flag in place. It’s very touching and I can’t tell the story without crying. We hope you all enjoy it! Ms. Angie does a great job of singing “God Bless the USA”, one of our all time favorite songs. Order your copy today! 817-489-2466. Our trip to OK and MO turned out good. We sang at Soul’s Harbor Sun AM at Chewey, OK. It was good to see Jack and Billie Fain. The Pastor & family fed us Pizza for lunch. His wife had her baby the next week. Congratulations! That night we sang at Calvary Temple where a DJ friend, Chad Jones attends. We had a wonderful service and felt so at home. We made some friends and they love good ole gospel singing. A lot of young people were there. On Monday we made our way to our cousin’s cabin in the woods of OK. We love it there and they are so gracious to let us stay 3 nights. The funny thing was, they had taken the towels home to wash them and none were left there. As Angie says it took several paper napkins to take care of that problem! We poke shopped during the day and cooked out and rested in the evening. Chad kept the fire going to cook the taters and steak with mushrooms and onions. Mmmmm. Coffee in the cool of the AM out on the porch makes you feel close to God. We had a visitor, a pretty raccoon one night. There had been several colts born the week before, and they were so cute. The birds sang to us. Gotta love it. We left some stuff there and headed to MO. We’ve sang for this Pastor Centers at 2 other churches and it was good to see how grown up the children were. Justin graduated this year. He and his Mom treated us to Cracker Barrel one day and she cooked lunch for us before we left. They put us up for 2 nights in a motel, left a goodie basket in our room and treated us so good. But the best part is, we had an awesome service where God interrupted in a BIG way. We love it when the Spirit of God takes over. Many prayers were answered and people helped that night. We were encouraged. They gave me 2 big boxes of old books, which I love and can sell. What a blessed week end! We were blessed with 5 more big boxes of books to sell and some herbal products from Ozark Water and Natural Items. God is good. Angie was able to find some gravy boats in a thrift store, so that made her happy. We got home tired but thankful. Special points of interest: · Ryan’s graduation was so special. It had been 15 years since we had a family member graduate High School. · Brittney sang “What If”. Ryan’s pastor spoke on “Force VS Farce”. I spoke a little about how special he is to us and told the story of the “Star Spangled Banner” being written. · Our family friend drove all the way from Eunice, NM to Texarkana, TX to be the special speaker. Ludy Robinson has been a teacher for almost 20 years and had words of wisdom. She did so good, she got a standing ovation. Ryan was proud! We couldn’t make it without these folks: Ludy Robinson Bambers Stoltzfus Family Rhonda Hendrix Mom Jenkins Ruby Wilson Betty Snow Stanleys Deb Wilson Grandad & Granny Gregg - everything you do. Shannon Everett - yard work Ranessa Hendrix - help with electronics Judy Gray - water, computer advice, nice gifts, etc.
We love you all. Pray for us to see more souls born again.
