Brent Finally Married
Yup-it finally happened. Former lead singer, Brent Gregg, said “I DO” in a beautiful ceremony. Angie and I along with Granny Gregg, Terri Pool and April Sherer catered the rehearsal dinner for him. Well, they cooked and I washed some dishes and tried to stay out of the way and still look important. It was so good to see a lot of friends. The Clarks, from Nashville, TN called “Alvarado Road Show” were some of the highlights. Cleve, Brent and Angela all sang, and of course we love to hear “Bub” sing. I’m not sure why everyone got tickled, but they laughed and laughed. I think Jeff Long forgot some of Brent’s vows. We were honored with a flower to wear and a front row seat for the performance. The chocolate fountain was supreme, & decorations were by Chrystie and Karen Utter from our home church. They do beautiful work. So glad our friends from CA got to attend, Davene, Steve & Paul David Taylor. We enjoyed their stay with us and they loved the new RV! Angie & I held up pretty good until on the way home and then shed some tears. A 13 year old chapter was firmly closed for ever. But " GOD IS STILL GOD.”

We had around 70 campers this year, which was a smaller crowd, but we had a wonderful time in the cool pines of Mayhill, NM. It got down to the upper 40’s at night and in Ft. Worth, it was 104*. Thank God for cool pines at campmeeting!
Baby sis, Tonya and family are always a joy at the camp. Her husband, Rev Shannon McDonald is in charge of the services and he can preach, play the piano, and cook steak and taters. Angie & Tonya work well together in the kitchen. Mom Jenkins always makes lots of her famous beef burritos and everyone enjoys those. We get there early and have a cook-out around the fire pit. This year several were there early and we had a great time talking, laughing, telling funny stories and praying around the fire in the great outdoors. God was so close to each one. We and the Pilcher family have always been close and that’s our “catching up” time. They are “cream of the crop” and leaders in the community of Eunice, NM. Each one of the Pilcher Children, although from redneck country, make a difference in their town and surrounding communities. The church that Dad/Mom pastored there is still going strong because of them, especially Ludy, a first grade school teacher. You should hear the stories that girl tells. Go to www.youtube.com and see some video I captured. I missed the one of 19 of them going to New York City and riding the subway. It’s hilarious. See our web site for more pictures of campmeeting.
Ft. Gibson Gospel Music Festival
Thank you to Terrell White and the team at the Ft. Gibson Festival. Everyone worked hard and we had a great time. Four groups, Carpitchers, Hawkins Family, One Purpose, and Jenkins Sisters, along with soloist, Naomi Carey. We had a good crowd and a great time. They furnished us “Indian Tacos” (Mmmmm) & we sang at Family Worship Sun AM. Sunday PM found us at Bro. Reggie Dowdy’s in Okla. They treated us to Cheddars, one of our favorite places to eat.

Other Points of Interest
We blew out a front tire first day. God was with us. JD Davis gave us a replacement, (thank you so very much-Angie loved your corvette) but we need to get them rotated and front end aligned. Also need another tire for the left front. Pray Saints!
Grandview COG. Pastor Chad Kirk-this church is one of our “filling stations” and we are always blessed here. They take good care of us and we so appreciate that.
Dayspring Fellowship. Pastor Joe/Nancy Henagar. They fed us after church and Dennis Newton and family are so helpful. Even if Dennis is ornery! LOL. They love Mom. Our prayers are with this family in the loss of their Mother.
Grace Community. Pastor JD Smith-beautiful new church coming along. Bro. JD took us fishing, gave us 3 rod/reels & gave us 12 cleaned trout to take with us. We grilled them over a fire and Mmmmm! Angie cooked fajitas for them. We had a great time hooked up at their house. We left there and went camping for a few days. Angie got a stomach virus! Oh dear. (But see her dance a “Jig” on www.youtube.com!)
Farmington Christian Fellowship was good to us. They fed us a totally healthy meal, then the Hottell brothers worked on our generator.
After singing in Grants, NM at 1st BC (great preaching and altar service) with the Rogers (thanks for the meal) we headed home. We arrived around 2:00 that night, tired but blessed.
