Headed to NQC~ Booth by food court
We are really excited about attending the National Quartet Convention. Last year was our first time to miss in 21 years, so we’re looking forward to seeing all our friends and peers. It’s always a boost in the arm for us. Please pray for us. We’ll be singing on the Regional Artists Showcase Mon. afternoon. It’s a little stressful singing in front of all those wonderful singers. God be with us! Also pray we’ll meet the right promoters and pastors. We want to be sensitive to the leadings of the Lord, who has our ministry in His Hands. God can open doors and no man can shut.
Happy 80th Birthday to our Mom, Joyce Jenkins. We’ll be hosting a party at our house Sept 26th for cake and ice cream. Everyone welcome It’s a surprise, so don’t tell her! Also, the whole family along with kinfolk will be celebrating with a camp out early October. She’ll be so surprised! She loves to camp out.
If you want to send her a card, her address is:

Our short tour to LA kinda fishy
We left Sunday afternoon at 4:30 for Hendrix RV Park (our sis Rhonda’s, front yard) to surprise her. She wasn’t expecting us til Monday. Mom’s little dog, Sugar was sick for 3 days until we prayed for her and fed her Pepto Bismol. We so enjoyed our stay in Texarkana. It was Ryan’s 18th BD celebration, so we took steaks and he and Aunt Angie cooked up some good grub.
We sang Wed PM for Bro. Swinnea’s congregation. They loved Mom’s singing. We headed to Forest Hill, LA and plugged into Joy & Gerald Holloway’s yard (our generator is in the shop) and taught a health class Thursday PM.
Friday Joy took us fishing and we caught 69 fish! After spending several hours cleaning them, We had a fish fry that night out on the deck. Wunnerful!
Friday Joy took us “poke” shopping, which we love.
Sat we sang at their church, then Sunday Joy drove us to the end of the road….Happy Hollow Church. This was as far from civilization as you can get in LA. I loved it when the pastor’s wife played the “WASHTUB BASS GUITAR”.
We left and spent 2 nights with our brother Ken and his family. His wife, Jackie, is a walking miracle! In March she had a horrible car accident and died 2 times. With a new elbow and a rod in her leg, she’s walking and running around like normal. Well, as normal as SHE can be! LOL

Have you ever dreamed of a dream vacation where you are the star of the show?
You would love the Cruise!
Cruise to Cozumel/Progresso 2010
You best hurry and get your bags packed. Lord willing, we’re leaving for a wonderful 5 day cruise. The ship leaves out of New Orleans, and will gently float to Cancun and other ports. We’ll eat, (maybe some lobster) rest, sing, listen to Gospel singing, eat some more, go shopping, eat some more, go to one of the entertainment shows, eat some more, and be petted and pampered like you ain’t never seen. They clean your room 2 times a day and treat you like a King and Queen. You can be lazy, stay in your room, order room service and watch Gospel Singing, etc, on the TV. All for the same low, low price. Even your TIPS, taxes, Insurance, port charges etc is all covered in that low price as well. Where else can you get that kind of vacation for that kind of money? It makes a great graduation gift or anniversary gift or just a Pastor appreciation gift. Get some brochures and leave out conveniently on the welcome table, and maybe your congregation will take the hint and send you! LOL
Got your bags packed yet?
We are now booking for the rest of 2009 and 2010.
